Have you voted today? Remember, if you don't, you are leaving the decision on who should run this country to me ;) So if you want someone who believes in no restrictions on gun ownership, elimination of national retail chains, socialized medicine, insurance, and legal system, English as the official and only language, gutting the military budget and relying on nuclear bombs for national security, mandatory abortions at the end of the first trimester unless congress passes a bill for you individually, the death penalty for rap music, life in jail at hard labor for Jerry Jones (sharing a cell with Bill Gates), and mandatory 5 year jail term for any politician serving more than 2 terms, then you just stay home today and watch tv knowing that I will be deciding the destiny of this country :)

Thank-you, much appreciated. I'll make sure you're not sent to the re-education camps I'll be running in Oklahoma.

One of our people actually wrote herself in for the Senate race. :-)

Back in the good old days of honest paper ballots, I used to write myself in for several races where we didn't have a democrat running. Our local democrat party sucks. the majority of the local races have no democrat running, yet we have libertarians in all the races. I keep complaining to the state party hq about the lack of local candidates. Even if they have no chance with the nazi's in this town, they should still have a full slate of candidates to show a presence. It's sad when loonies like the libertarians can field more candidates than the democrats.

Believe it or not . . . this morning I filled in a paper ballot using a little pencil attached by a string to the voting booth. Filled in little ovals with my choices and brought the ballot (covered by another piece of paper) over to the big gizmo that read the thing after sucking it in.

I liked it. I also really liked the energy in the polling place. Mind you, our county is one of only a couple in KY that went blue in the Presidential race. ::sigh::
